ORADELL SWIM CLUB RULES AND REGULATIONS
The following rules and regulations are for the protection and the benefit of all members. These rules have been established to assure safe and sanitary operations of the pool facilities. Parents are requested to caution their children to observe all rules and obey instructions of the pool Managers and other OSC employees. Any failure to comply with these rules shall be considered sufficient cause for immediate suspension of pool privileges for the offending member for a period of 1 to 7 days and can also be considered sufficient cause for cancellation of club membership with no refund.
- Keep the facilities clean by always placing trash in the garbage.
- No running on the pool deck.
- No smoking, vaping, electronic smoking devices or use of any tobacco products are allowed on pool grounds.
- Admission to the pool may be refused to anyone with colds, coughs, inflamed eyes, infections or wearing bandages. The OSC pool management decision shall be final.
- Guest fees for the 2024 Season are $15.00 per person. There are NO REFUNDS for guest fees. If we close early due to inclement weather, you are welcome to return with your guest later on the same day that you purchased the guest pass, assuming we reopen. There are no rainchecks for another day.
- No pets allowed on club property.
- No alcohol allowed on club property.
- Eating is allowed in the picnic area only with the exception of small snacks. Please be sure to clean up after yourselves at all times.
- Only potty-trained children are allowed in lap, main, and Rossi pools.
- No glass containers of any kind are permitted on club grounds.
- No running, pushing, wrestling, or causing undo disturbances in or around the pool areas.
- No throwing or pushing others in the pool.
- Diving is only permitted from the diving boards. Only one bounce is allowed on the diving boards before jumping into the pool.
- Swim aides must be Coast Guard Certified such as puddle jumpers, etc. And are only allowed in the Rossi pool and the lower ends of the main pool.
- Children must be supervised by an adult at all times, other than a guard. OSC Managers discretion will be enforced.
- Water squirters may only be used in the main pool and the Rossi pool. During high occupancy times, lifeguards and managers may restrict the use of water squirters in the pools and on the property.
- Only children 12 and over (and have graduated 6th grade) who have passed basic swim test given by OSC pool management may enter the pool grounds without an adult.
- Use of kiddie pool should be limited to children under six years of age and must be supervised by an adult other than a lifeguard.
- No rigid plastic or metal toys will be allowed in the kiddie pool.
- The lap section of the back pool is for members of all ages. Please be courteous to the fellow lap swimmers and circle swim if the pool is crowded.
- The 11-foot Hopper section of the back pool is from members ages 18 and over.
- Furniture is not permitted on the concrete deck areas.
- Minors must be accompanied by an adult when using the restrooms, locker rooms or showers. All persons using any of the OSC facilities, do so at their own risk.
- The club will not be responsible for any accident or injury in connection with such use.
- The club will not be responsible for loss or damage to personal property and encourages that all valuables be left at home.
- Swim diapers - We will allow children in swim diapers to use the Rossi pool (in addition to the kiddie pool) for a trial period. We have had many requests for this change and are willing to give it a try. If this trial is unsuccessful, we will revert back to the kiddie pool only. Swim diapers/non-toilet trained children are not permitted in the main pool under any circumstances.
- Ball throwing in the pools - During high occupancy times, lifeguards and managers may restrict ball throwing of any kind in all pools.
